Welcome to the 2024 WoRC Expo!
The World of Retro Computing WoRC 2024 Expo will be a TWO DAY vintage and retro computing conference held on Saturday September 14 and Sunday September 15 2024 in Kitchener Ontario Canada. WoRC 2024 Expo will include hands on vintage and retro computer and gaming displays, special guest speakers, vendors buying and selling, workshops, lan parties, challenges, and raffles!
We are pleased to announce the WoRC 2024 Expo will be held at the old Goudies Department Store located at 8 Queen Street North, Kitchener Ontario Canada N2H 2G8.
Free admission to the World of Retro Computing 2024 Expo is made possible by and in recognition of our late friend Bryan Pope. A special section at WoRC will be dedicated to Bryan Pope with special sales, auctions and raffles. All proceeds from the Bryan Pope auction will be donated to our local Humane Society in Bryan's name.

12:00pm-5:00pm - Bryan Pope Memorial auction, raffle and sale. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to our local Humane Society in Bryan's name! All items will be displayed on site and the auction portion will be open for online bids one week prior to the Expo on Saturday September 7, 12:00pm.
12:00pm-5:00pm - All day buy, sell, play and compute with over 25 vendors and exhibitors each day !

3:00pm-4:00pm - Special guest speakers Eric Helgeson, yes the creator of BlueSCSI, and Joe from Joe's Computer Museum will be teaming up for a special remote appearance to chat about their latest endeavors ! Get your seat at the show to watch live on the big screen.
12:00pm-5:00pm - You asked for it, WoRC's most requested duo, Rob and Ben, will be back this year hosting LAN parties with a larger selection of games and even more period correct computer systems to play on. Welcome to the 2022 WoRC Expo!
The World of Retro Computing WoRC Expo is a one day retro computing conference in Kitchener Ontario Canada. The 2022 WoRC expo will include hands on retro computer and gaming displays, food trucks, special guest speakers, vendors buying and selling, workshops, raffles, animals and an after event Barn Dance/Social!
We are pleased to announce the WoRC 2022 Expo will be held at the Steckle Heritage Farm located at 811 Bleams Road Kitchener Ontario N2E 3X4. Free parking is available at 205 McIntyre Drive which is on the west side of the Farm. Full access to the Farm property will be included, yes, there will be animals present! Please leave your own animals at home.

2:30pm - Kevin Stumpf will be presenting his critically acclaimed Waterloo Region GrassRoots History of Technology on the main stage, and displaying an exhibit described as follows... "An IBM Selectric I/O Model 1980 with service manuals. This very heavy typewriter-like remote computer terminal was used at the Oshawa office of Household Finance Corp. from 1968. It was part of a North American-wide deployment to hundreds of HFC branches. These terminals were connected by telephone lines to one of 3 IBM System/360 Model 50 computers located large metropolitan areas in the USA. They were used to enter details about a loan and then print the loan papers. Also monthly it would be used to print financial reports for the branch. Lots and lots of paper was used. These were the common solution to remotely access computers even though "video" terminals existed."
